Commonwealth Games 2022 Updates: PV Sindhu Wins Badminton Women’s Singles Gold Medal
The current Commonwealth Games’ women’s singles gold medalist, PV Sindhu, defeated Michelle Li of Canada to win the match. India has a potential to win up to five gold medals on the last day of the CWG 2022.
Lakshya Sen would also be aiming for a gold medal in the men’s singles badminton competition. The final will also include the men’s doubles team of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy.
The gold medal game between the men’s hockey team and Australia will take place later that evening. Achanta Sharath Kamal will compete in the men’s singles final of table tennis while pursuing the pinnacle of success.
India presently has 56 medals (19 gold, 15 silver, and 22 bronze) and would like to add more gold to its collection.
