Commonwealth Games 2022 Updates: Medal Rush Continues For India In Athletics, Boxers Bag 2 Golds

India won the top two medals in the men’s triple jump thanks to Eldhose Paul (17.03m jump for gold) and Abdulla Aboobacker Narangolintevid (17.02 jump for silver). In the meantime, Annu Rani and Sandeep Kumar won bronze medals for India in the men’s 10 km race walk and the women’s javelin throw, respectively.

Laskhya Sen, an Indian shuttler, has advanced to the badminton men’s singles final. In the badminton men’s singles semifinal, Kidambi Srikanth was forced to concede defeat. Amit Panghal and Nitu Ganghas, respectively, won gold medals for India in the men’s flyweight and women’s minimumweight divisions of boxing earlier.

In the meantime, PV Sindhu advanced to the women’s singles final by winning her semifinal match in straight games. India defeated New Zealand in a shootout to take home the bronze medal in women’s hockey. When they come out to compete in their final bouts, wrestlers Nikhat Zareen and Sagar Ahlawat will also strive to bring gold medals home.

Several athletes will compete later in the day, and in the women’s cricket final, India will compete against Australia for gold. The contingent already boasts 40 medals, and they aim to bring home even more acclaim.
