CHICKEN STEW
INGREDIENTS
- Chicken – ½ kg
- Big onion – 1
- Green chillies – 6 nos
- Ginger – 1
- Cabbage leaves – 2
- Coconut milk – 2 cups
- Mustard – 1 tsp
- Pepper powder – ½ tsp
- Clove – 2 nos
- Cinnamon – 1 nos
- Cardamom – 1 nos
- Oil – 2 tbs
- Curry leaves – few
- Salt to taste
- Maida – 1 tsp
- Small onion – 3 nos (sliced)
METHOD
- In a pan heat oil and fry the mustard and sauté the small onions and curry leaves . when it comes golden brown keep it aside.
- In the same oil sauté the big onions , green chillies and ginger . add the spices also .
- When it becomes soft , add the chicken pieces salt and pepper .
- Cover and cook well.
- Add cabbage leaves.
- Pour the coconut milk , mixed with maida into the chicken.
- Garnish with fried onions and serve.
