Centre likely to announce ‘special package for AP’

Showing a friendly attitude towards the Telugu Desam Party, the Bharatiya Janata Party president, Amit Shah, has invited the TDP Supremo and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, to deliberate the issues concerning to the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill Act, which assures a special package for the state to compensate the huge loss the state underwent due to the bifurcation.

On March 5, on which the second round of the budget session is schedule, the TDP representatives, most probably Y S Chowdary and Kinjarapu Ramamohan Naidu, will meet the Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley, and BJP Supremo Amit Shah.

Earlier, there were reports that the TDP leaders has been given less friendly welcome by the BJP leaders when they had met them to discuss the AP issue.

There are reports that the TDP members has been advised to disturb the proceedings of the parliament, which is going to start on March 5.

As per an unacknowledged report, the TDP has also requested the support of the regional parties like YSR Congress in their mission to wrist what the state was assured by the parliament and the centre during the disturbing process of bifurcation.

In the wake of the aforementioned developments, the scheduled meeting between the BJP and TDP, which is the part of the BJP-led NDA alliance, gains more relevance.

Does Andhra deserve a special package?
