Brands Rush to Sign World Cup-Winning Indian Women’s Cricket Team as Endorsement Fees Soar

The Indian Women’s Cricket Team’s historic World Cup triumph has not only brought glory on the field but also boosted their brand value off it. Following the team’s maiden World Cup victory against South Africa, endorsement fees for top players such as Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma, and Shafali Verma have surged by 25% to 100%, according to sources. Brands are lining up to associate with the champions, recognizing their growing influence and popularity.

The surge in attention extends beyond endorsements — players’ social media followings have doubled within a day of the win. JSW Sports, which manages Jemimah Rodrigues, revealed that brand inquiries for her have skyrocketed by 100%, with active discussions across 10-12 brand categories. Rodrigues’ signing fee now ranges between ₹75 lakh and ₹1.5 crore, while Mandhana, already one of the highest-paid female athletes, earns between ₹1.5 crore and ₹2 crore per brand through deals with major names like SBI, Nike, Hyundai, and Herbalife.

Experts note that sectors such as women’s health, lifestyle, wellness, gadgets, and automobiles are keen to partner with these new icons. The World Cup final, held at DY Patil Stadium, saw India defeat South Africa by 52 runs, with Deepti Sharma named Player of the Tournament and Shafali Verma securing Player of the Match. Celebrations swept the nation, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulating the team, saying their victory will inspire a new generation of athletes.
