Bigg Boss 16: Sajid Khan Says “Arrogance” Destroyed His Career
Sajid Khan’s surprise appearance as a contender at the Bigg Boss 16 grand premiere on Saturday caught everyone off guard. Sajid Khan avoided the spotlight after being implicated in a few charges of sexual harassment during the #MeToo movement in 2018.
He was suspended for a year by the Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association as a result of accusations of sexual harassment from several actresses, including Saloni Chopra, Rachel White, Mandana Karimi, as well as journalist Karishma Upadhyay. Additionally, Sajid Khan was fired from Housefull 4, which was thereafter directed by Farhad Samji. The filmmaker has now spoken out about his reality-show career failure. Sajid Khan declared that his conceit and “success” had “destroyed” him.
Talking to Bigg Boss 16 host Salman Khan, Sajid Khan revealed that after directing “biggest actors of the industry like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, John Abraham, Mithun da (Chakraborty), Chintu ji (Rishi Kapoor, Daboo ji (Randhir Kapoor), Ritesh Deshmukh and Saif Ali Khan,” he became “arrogant” as his films were doing well. “There’s a saying “failures destroy people.” In my case, success destroyed me,” added the filmmaker.
According to Sajid Khan, the director began to think of himself as “infallible and can never create a poor film” after delivering “back-to-back three hits.” However, that’s when he realised how badly his 2014 comedy-romance Humshakals and 2013 romantic comedy Himmatwala had performed at the box office.

The reality series’ 16th season will air on Colors TV every day at 10 p.m. The show will begin on weekends at 9:30. Additionally, Voot Select will stream it.
