BANKS TO REMAIN CLOSED FOR 4 DAYS FROM OCTOBER 22 – Unique Times
As the festive season comes closer in the month of October may witness four days consecutive holidays for banks if the employees take one day leave. It would start from October 22nd till October 25. On 22 ie; Thursday on account of Vijaya Dashami , then one day leave, fourth Saturday on October 24 and Sunday on October 25. RBI has recently declared all banks to observe holiday on second and fourth saturday effective from september 1, which may come as a boon for the banking staff on these days. However banks feel fourth saturday much be a working day due to the work load,the RBI intervenes and keeps a working day in between.
