Army kills four militants in three clashes in Kashmir, Three were Pakistanis
Center tightens measures in Jammu and Kashmir Four terrorists were killed within 24 hours in a joint operation by police and the army. Three of them are from Pakistan. The Interior Ministry said weapons, grenades and a large quantity of ammunition were seized.
A terrorist has been killed in a clash between security forces and terrorists in Shopian. Nadeem Ahmed Rather, a Hizbul Mujahideen activist and a native of Kulgam, was killed by the army. He is accused in several cases, police said. Hansellah, a Pakistani Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist, was killed in a clash in Sopore. Tufail and another man who had infiltrated from Pakistan were killed during the clashes in Kupwara.
In Jammu and Kashmir, the BSF also foiled an attempt to smuggle tiffin-packed explosives across the border by drone. The time bombs were smuggled in three children’s tiffin boxes. The drone was spotted twice last night in the Kanachak area near the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.
The BSF fired explosives attached to the drone in the Dayaran area. But the drone could not crash. During the inspection, explosives placed in tiffin boxes were fitted with timers to detonate at different times. The Jammu and Kashmir police said that all these were destroyed by a controlled blast. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
