Piravom counterfeit note manufacturing center; Police raid is in progress and machines have been found
A counterfeit note manufacturing center was found at Elanji near Piravom in Ernakulam district. Police are conducting a raid here. The counterfeit notes were made in a house here.
Six members of the group were arrested. Police said that there are extensive systems in place, including machines for making counterfeit notes.
The inspection, which began at 5 a.m., is still ongoing. A team led by Puthenkurish DYSP is inspecting the spot. It is suspected that the gang also has links in Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts. According to the police, they had taken a house in Elanji under the pretext of being a construction company.
