Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Ghost Stories’; Complaint to Netflix against this anthology film
Anurag Kashyap’s anthology film Ghost Stories has been screened on Netflix. The complaint is against the scene in the film where the foetus is ate after the miscarriage. Based on the complaint, the complaint was registered under the new IT Act.
The new IT Act stipulates that a complaint must be registered within 24 hours of receipt. “The story of the film does not need this scene. If the producers want to add such a scene, they should give a warning to women who are going through the trauma of miscarriage” this is what the complaint says.
Ghost Stories features four horror films. Apart from Anurag Kashyap, the film also stars Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee and Karan Johar. The film was released on Netflix on January 1, 2020. Shobhita Dhulipala is the main character in Anurag Kashyap’s story.
