Andorra: a blessed principality known for mesmerising sky resorts

Andorra la Vella, Vallnord, the Town of Les Escaldes, picturesque Valiradel Nord valley and Encamp are the popular tourist destinations here.

Travellers are advised to arrange personal travel arrangements as the public transport facility in this region is very primitive. The local food is not recommended unless the traveller is a food enthusiast.

Vallnord is a snowboard and skiing resort located in the Pyrenees Mountain. The resort has hosted several international events such as the 2013 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup and the 2015 UCI Mountain Bike and Trials World Championship. This place offers the best skiing and snowboard experience.

The Town of Les Escaldesis located near the capital city. The presence of hot springs containing sulphur and nitrogen is one of the main peculiarities of this region. There are several traditional woven cloth manufacturing units and umbrella manufacturing units in this land. The textile industry is one of the important revenue sources, other than the tourism, in this city. The traditional products of Andorra manufactured using traditional methods are very popular in Europe.

It is the land of Andorra’s traditional dance, the Santa Anna. Yearly, thousands of travellers visit this city only to watch this fascinating dance form.

Picturesque Valiradel Nord valley is a small town situated at the base of the Casamanya Mountain. It looks like an old town with the peaceful streets, tiny shops, unaggressive street venders, friendly people, old buildings and old churches. Casa d’Areny-Plandolit, the seventeenth-century mansion of Ordino, is located in this town.
