Amala Paul files harassment case against estranged friend and business partner
Actress Amala Paul has complained to the police in Villupuram about her ex-friend Bhavninder Singh Dhatt for allegedly defrauding her in a business deal and threatening to post her pictures online. The Villupuram police have detained Dhatt and filed a complaint against him under 16 different legal provisions.
The actress and Dhatt, who formed a film production firm in 2018, moved to Periyamudaliyar Chavadi, a neighbourhood close to Auroville, according to the police. They eventually split up, nevertheless, due to their alienation. The actress created her most recent film, Cadaver, with a significant investment in the production firm.
Police asserted that Dhatt defrauded Amala Paul by forging documents to remove her as the company’s director. He further implied that he will post their pictures on social media. The Villupuram police arrested Dhatt after receiving a complaint from Ms. Paul that was filed under several sections, including forgery, intimidation, and harassment. Further research is being done.
