Alia Bhatt shares first photos with husband Ranbir Kapoor: ‘Can’t wait to build more memories’
On Thursday, Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor married in a private ceremony at their Mumbai home. They were accompanied by close friends and relatives. Alia Bhatt shared the couple’s first photos on Instagram.
“Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home… in our favourite spot – the balcony where we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship – we got married,” Alia wrote in the caption. We can’t wait to make more memories together, memories full of love, laughter, comfortable silences, movie nights, silly fights, wine delights, and Chinese bites… memories full of love, laughter, comfortable silences, movie nights, silly fights, wine delights, and Chinese bites. Randhir Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, and other family members were in attendance, as were Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Mahesh Bhatt, Soni Razdan, Shaheen Bhatt, Rahul Bhatt, and Pooja Bhatt. Ayan Mukerji and Karan Johar were also present on the big day.
On Wednesday, the couple began their wedding celebrations with a mehendi ceremony. Alia and Ranbir haven’t made any public announcements about their upcoming wedding. The wedding will take place on Thursday at Vastu apartment in Pali Hill, as Neetu and Riddhima confirmed to the photographers on Wednesday.
Alia and Ranbir began dating in 2017, around the same time that they began filming Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. The couple first appeared in public in 2018 at Sonam Kapoor’s wedding reception.
Ranbir previously stated that they would have married much sooner if the pandemic had not occurred. “I think it (the wedding) would have already been sealed had the pandemic not hit our lives,” Rajeev Masand said in a 2020 interview.”In my head, I am married to Ranbir,” Alia said in an earlier interview with NDTV. In fact, I’ve been married to Ranbir for a long time in my head. There’s a reason for everything. When we do get married, everything will work out perfectly and beautifully.”
