Akasa Air Launches Flights On Chennai-Bengaluru Route

Bengaluru became the fifth city on Akasa Air’s network on Saturday when it began operating on the Chennai-Bengaluru route, according to the airline.
The airline intends to begin operations on the Chennai-Kochi route on September 26 in addition to beginning two daily flights on the Chennai-Bengaluru sector.

According to a business release, “Further extending its operations out of Chennai, the airline will start one additional daily flight on the Mumbai-Chennai route from September 15 and will add an additional daily flight on the Bengaluru-Chennai route from September 26.”

Co-founder of the business Praveen Iyer stated, “We have reached another another milestone today with the beginning of commercial flights from Chennai, which is the fifth location in our network.

As of today, we will provide twice-daily service on this new route, according to Iyer, who also serves as the company’s chief commercial officer.

The airline announced that as part of its efforts to improve connectivity across India, it would begin operating a new route between Chennai and Kochi on September 26.

According to the statement, the airline’s objective of using a phased yet quick method to expand the network across the nation is consistent with the rapid expansion of cities, routes, and frequencies.
