A Kashmiri YouTuber has been arrested for making a video mocking the BJP’s Nupur Sharma

A YouTuber from Kashmir has been detained after uploading a video showing him beheading an effigy of the BJP’s suspended spokesperson. The video, according to police, had frightened and alarmed the public. “Faisal Wani, a YouTuber from Kashmir, has been detained. He had posted an incriminating video on YouTube that was against public order and had caused fear and alarm among the general public “In a statement, the Jammu and Kashmir police said. Faisal Wani deleted the video and apologised on his YouTube channel earlier today.

“I made a VFX video about Nupur Sharma yesterday, and it went viral all over India. And an innocent person like myself became entangled in the squabble “Today, Faisal Wani said in a new video.

He also stated that he had no intention of hurting the feelings of people of other faiths. Mr. Wani claimed that his viral video had been deleted. Mr Wani apologised, saying, “Like my other video, I’m hoping you’ll make this one go viral as well. This is how everyone will know that I am sorry for what I did.”

For their controversial remarks on Prophet Muhammad, the BJP suspended Nupur Sharma and expelled Delhi BJP media unit Naveen Jindal earlier this month.

Demonstrations across the country and clashes in some cities, including Howrah near Kolkata, resulted in two deaths and dozens of arrests in response to Sharma and Jindal’s remarks.

Several West Asian countries have demanded a public apology, summoned Indian envoys, and called for a boycott of Indian products in response to the comments made over two weeks ago. India has referred to them as “fringe elements’ views,” but that hasn’t calmed Muslim groups in India, who have demanded that the politicians be arrested.
