GIC-Backed Asia Healthcare Holdings Eyes IPO Within 12–18 Months
Asia Healthcare Holdings (AHH), a healthcare investment platform backed by Singapore’s GIC and TPG, is considering launching an initial public offering (IPO) within the next 12 to 18 months, according to Executive Chairman Vishal Bali. Speaking to Reuters, Bali said the company views a public listing as its natural growth path but remains cautious amid ongoing market volatility. He emphasized that any IPO decision would depend on improved market stability, noting that current conditions are not conducive to listing plans.
Over the past decade, AHH has invested more than $300 million in healthcare businesses and is now exploring expansion into gastroenterology and pathology diagnostics. The company sees strong growth potential in India’s pathology services sector, which is projected to more than double in value by 2034 due to rising healthcare awareness and increasing cases of chronic diseases. Bali noted that AHH’s existing hospital network already generates significant pathology volumes, making the segment a strategic fit for future growth.
AHH has previously built and scaled healthcare brands such as Motherhood Hospitals, Nova IVF, and the Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology. The company now plans to strengthen these businesses by expanding services into Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities across India. While AHH is not currently considering exits from individual portfolio companies, Bali said the firm has the capacity to deploy up to $150 million over the next two years, primarily toward establishing new healthcare verticals when suitable opportunities emerge.
