Asha Parekh looks ethereal on the cover of a magazine as she graces in black
Padma Shri awardee Asha Parekh is a timeless beauty who was one of Indian cinema’s icons in the 1960s and 1970s. Her grace and beauty are unrivalled, and her onscreen performances have enchanted many. While the 79-year-old is known for wearing saris, her most recent ensemble is a little different, but equally stunning.
The Kati Patang actor is Harper’s Bazaar magazine’s digital cover star this month, looking ethereal in simple yet elegant black ensembles and donning exquisite jewellery.
Her hair is styled in a classic, old Hollywood style, and her makeup is kept to a bare minimum. In the interview, Parekh discusses marriage, saying, “I guess I wasn’t destined to get married.” To be honest, I would have loved to marry and start a family, but it wasn’t meant to be. I, on the other hand, have no regrets…”
Parekh says she’s “always believed—and continue to believe—that beauty resides within the person” when asked about her definition of beauty. You will shine if you are happy… and it will show on your face if you are unhappy.”
