Sandesh Jhingan joins European League; Signed a contract with the Croatian club

Indian football defender Sandesh Jhingan is set to join the Croatian First Division. It is learned that the player has signed a contract with HNK Sibenik.

The contract is for five years. The player has recently put out excellent performances for the club and the country. European clubs have been following the star since last season. The player had offers from clubs in Russia and Greece. But Jhingan chose Croatia.

Jhingan is currently the star of ATK Mohan Bagan. Prior to that, he completed six seasons with Kerala Blasters. He was booted out of 22 matches for Bagan. Jhingan, who made his international debut for India in 2015, has scored four goals in 40 matches. Jhingan’s performance in the World Cup qualifier against Qatar was dramatic.

Jhingan has four more years left on his contract with Mohan Bagan. But there was a condition that he would leave the club if other offers came. Sibenik was sixth in the Croatian league last season.
