17 dead after train derails in Taiwan
Approxmently 17 people have died after an express train derailed and roll over on a popular coastal route in Taiwan on Sunday. The Taiwan Railways Board have confirmed 17 people have been killed and over 132 people have ve injured in the train accident in NortheasternYilan country.
The authorities are yet to find out if any passengers still remain trapped inside the train.
The images show on the site details of the accident show the Puyuma Express train is completely derailed and its almost lying zigzagged across the track. All most the train’s eight carriages had derailed and five of them are rolled onto the side at Xinma station.
One passenger told Apple Daily Taiwan throughout the journey the train was shaking. According to the Taiwan authorities, the accident had happened early evening 4:50 (0850 GMT) approximately.
