Let’s begin our series with Anna Karenina. It is a beautiful novel written by acclaimed Russian writer Leo Tolstoy. It is the story of Countess Anna Karenina. In a sense, it is the tale of an extra-marital affair. But, once we go deep into the story, we will understand there are many more in this. No other novel has ever elaborated the Imperial Russia more beautifully than Anna Karenina. Politics, faith and family are the three complicated subjects on which the novel is pivoted. There are several characters in the novel. At first, it may be a bit difficult to get close to each of them individually. Once we become familiar to the characters, it will not go from our head. The characters are too deep and complex. The novel is divided into eight parts. Each is better than the other. The novel is translated into many languages.
