Valentine Day Chocolate Gift
Valentine day is not just not associated with love and romance. For some, it’s just a normal day, for some its about knocking the door of heaven with love and hope. Whatever may the beautiful reasons be a conversation of hearts are best conveyed with chocolates!
3 cups crushed hazelnut wafer cookies
1 1/5 cups (10 ounces) Nutella
3 cups finely chopped toasted hazelnuts
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups finely chopped toasted hazelnuts
1 teaspoon coconut oil
Will start with the filling. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Smash the hazelnut wafer cookies and add them to the bowl. Blend hazelnuts and Nutella and mix well (it will be sticky). Keep in the fridge for 30 minutes so the mixture firms up. Mould into teaspoon sized balls and position them on the baking sheet.
during the wait, stir together the chocolate and oil in a medium bowl. Melt the mixture in the microwave until fully softened, stir about 30 seconds. Add the hazelnuts and stir thoroughly to blend.
When the truffle balls are prepared, insert a toothpick into the truffle and dip into the melted chocolate mixture. Place the truffles onto the baking sheet. Once you have finished coating them, place them back into the fridge for 15 minutes.
During the serve or gift wrap, place truffles in mini cupcake liners.
