Infosys wins lawsuit on harassment in US.
On Monday, An Alabama Court dismissed the lawsuit against Infosys, by an American Employee named Jack B.Palmer. Jack claimed that he was harassed and sidelined after he officially reported that Infy managers were committing visa fraud.
His allegation was that Infy was using B-1 visas, intended for short term employment were used to bring in long term workers. B-1 Visas are rather easy to obtain. The whistleblower also alleged that since he voiced against this he was sidelined in the company.
The federal court in Alabama dismissed the lawsuit saying that his allegations did not meet the standard under Alabama Law for a worker to allege mistreatment by an employer. The court stood in favour of Infosys on allegation made by Palmer.
