Around 20 dead in accident in J&K
As many as 20 people have died in an accident in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The accident has occurred when the vehicle has slipped from the road and fell into a gorge. In the accident, at least twenty others have also been injured.
The death toll is likely to increase as there are no adequate medical facilities available near the sport where the accident has happened – the place where the accident has taken place is one of the remotest parts of the state.
The assistance of the helicopter service has been sought to transport the inured to the nearest medical facilities as early as possible.
The concerned authorities have initiated an investigation into the matter. At this moment it remains unclear what has led to the accident.
Once the preliminary investigation is completed, at least a wage idea can be achieved about the cause of the accident.
