Reminding the private colleges that the Andhra Pradesh government’s education policy, in no sense, encourages the corporate education system, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has warned the corporates operating in the education sector that the state would not let anyone turn the students into mere robots.

It is clear from the statement that the government is going to launch a policy to contain the unacceptable practices exercised by the private colleges.

In the recent past, several student suicides were reported in the state. There were reports that the academic pressure was the prime reason for the student suicides.

It is said that the private academic institutions often pressurise the students to grab higher ranks.

Mr Naidu has asserted that his government would scrap the rank system and replace it with the grading system.

The Chief Minister has made the crucial statement while meeting the representatives of the private institutions functioning in the state.

In the recent past, several corporate academic institutions established their branches in the state leveraging the Andhra Pradesh government’s pro-private institution policies.
