“You Have My Support,” Says Rahul Gandhi As PM Modi’s Mother Hospitalised
Following news that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother was reportedly hospitalised in Ahmedabad, Congressman Rahul Gandhi expressed his best wishes for her.
“The love between a mother and a son is eternal and priceless. Modi ji, you have my love and support in this difficult time. I hope your mother gets well soon,” Mr Gandhi tweeted, in Hindi, for his prime political rival. Heeraben Modi, the mother of Prime Minister Modi, was hospitalised after her condition deteriorated on Monday evening. This afternoon, the PM departed for Ahmedabad.
In June of this year, Heeraben Modi, who is now 99, was admitted to the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Center. Her illness’s exact nature is unknown. According to a hospital update, she is in stable condition. Darshanaben Vaghela and Kaushik Jain, both from the BJP, have arrived at the hospital. The Prime Minister, who has frequently discussed his relationship with his mother, recently paid her a visit while he was in Gujarat for the assembly elections.
