World Youth Athletics Championships: Medal hope for Indian athletes today
Indian athletes Ajay Raj Singh Rana and Jai Kumar will compete in the Under-20 World Athletics Championships today. The two will compete in the 12-man javelin throw final. Ajay Raj’s best distance is 74.75 meters.
Jai Kumar’s best performance was 72.29 meters. There are four players in the final who have done better than Ajay Raj. India’s Rohan Kamble qualifies for semifinals in boys’ 400m hurdles Rohan finished in 55.00 seconds.
Amandeep Singh finished last in the shot put final. Amandeep was only able to cover a distance of 17.08 meters. Cuba’s Juan Carly Gomez won the gold with a distance of 19.73 meters. Priya Mohan will compete in the girls’ 400m final tomorrow.
