Vijay Deverakonda promises to donate all his organs: ‘My mother and I have registered to donate our organs’
At a ceremony to promote organ donation, Liger actor Vijay Deverakonda spoke extensively about the virtue of the practise. Deverakonda, who has previously participated in such charitable endeavours, vowed to donate his organs.
Deverakonda added, “Doctors tell me that many procedures happen only because of donations,” while speaking at the occasion. It’s amazing how many people give of themselves emotionally to help others. It’s a lovely thing. The doctors were also discussing how South Asian nations have lower rates of organ donation at the same time.
He added, “I think I will donate all my organs. I would love for it to be part of someone after me and help them in their life. I don’t see any point in wasting my organs. I stay fit and keep myself healthy… My mother and I have registered to donate our organs. It is such a beautiful thing that you continue to live on in some way because of your generosity. I encourage everyone to be open to the idea of organ donation.”
His gesture is receiving a good response online as fans call him an inspiration. A Twitter user wrote, “@TheDeverakonda a man with a big heart. Donating organs is not a tiny thing, bro (sic).”
Vijay Deverakonda’s most recent acting appearance was in the boxing movie Liger. An reported conflict between the actor and the director resulted from the box office failure of the Puri Jagannadh-directed movie. According to rumors, Vijay Deverakonda will next collaborate with Samantha and filmmaker Shiva Nirvana on the film Kushi.
