Video Of Malayalam Actors Being Groped In Kerala Mall Prompts Probe
A well-known Malayalam actor has made a surprising fact in a post on Instagram, claiming that she was sexually assaulted at a movie promotion event at a mall in Kerala’s Kozhikode district. Another actor reportedly had a comparable experience during the late-night event on Tuesday at the bustling mall, according to the post, which expressed her agony and concern over the “sexual frustration” of individuals.
According to reports, a video of the incident quickly went viral on social media sites and was broadcast on local TV channels.
“Kozhikode is a place I loved a lot. But, tonight while returning after a programme, a person from the crowd grabbed me. It disgusts me to say where! Are people around us so frustrated? We had been to several places as part of the promotion. But, I never had such a pathetic experience anywhere else. My colleague also had a similar experience. She reacted, but I couldn’t in that situation as I was dumbstruck for a moment,” the actor said in last night’s post.
The other actor, who had endured sexual harassment from the audience, likewise posted about her terrifying experience on her Instagram page.
She claimed that due to the excessive crowding, security staff were having trouble controlling the flow. She was unable to respond when someone misbehaved with one of her co-stars, the actor claimed.
Later, I had a similar incident, but I responded, saying, “I wish that no one has to go through this kind of unnecessary anguish in their lives,” and she called for the guilty to be punished.
According to the police, an inquiry has been opened, and people who mistreated the actors are being found and apprehended.
The throng that had gathered to see their favourite actor perform at a promotion event held in the same mall a month prior had to be dispersed because they had been out of control.
