Veteran Malayalam actor Nedumudi Venu passed away

Malayalm actor Nedumudi Venu has passed away at the age of 73. He was treated at a private hospital for a liver ailment. Nedumudi Venu has acted in more than 500 films in Malayalam and Tamil and has won two National Film Awards and six State Film Awards.

Venu is considered as one of the most talented actors in Indian cinema. Venu, who filled the film world as the protagonist, villain and character actor, performed magnificently, including character roles and funny roles.

He made his film debut in Aravindan’s Thampu. He has directed the film Pooram. He also scripted a few films. In 1991, he won the National Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in His Highness Abdullah. In 2004, he won a Special Mention from the National Jury for his performance in Margam.
