Verdict of Journalist Ramchander murder case tomorrow

A special Central Bureau of Investigation court is expected to pronounce the verdict of the case of Journalist Ramchander Chhatrapati, who was allegedly shot dead at the behest of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh to publish an anonymous letter in which how the cult chief exploited his female disciples is explained in details, tomorrow. Ram Rahim Singh is the prime accused in the case.

The police authorities have beefed up the security installations in and around the prison where the self-declared Godman has been languishing since he was found guilty for the two rape cases charged against him. A senior police based in Sirsa, where the headquarters of Dera Sacha Sauda is situated, is said to have informed a national daily through telephone that nearly one thousand police officials have been deployed to avoid all possible untoward incidents. The district authorities have also imposed section 144 of the CrPC to avoid assembly of more than four people in the region.

Ram Rahim Singh enjoys huge support base in that part of the world. Though he is considered as a criminal by a large section of people, for many of his adherent followers, he is a living god.

When the Godman was arrested during when he was found guilty in the rape cases, a huge violence broke out in and around the region where the headquarters of his organisation is located.
