Varun Beverages Profit Jumps on Strong Demand Across Markets
Varun Beverages, the largest bottling partner of PepsiCo, reported a strong rise in quarterly profit driven by robust demand in both domestic and international markets. The company posted a 20.1% increase in net profit, reaching ₹8.72 billion for the quarter ended March 31.
Sales volumes in India grew by 14.4%, while international markets saw an even stronger rise of 21.4%. Revenue from operations climbed 18.4% year-on-year to ₹67.22 billion, supported by wider distribution, improved execution, and continued investments in manufacturing and cooling infrastructure, according to Chairman Ravi Jaipuria.
The company is also expanding globally, with its acquisition of Twizza in South Africa expected to bring long-term operational and commercial benefits. With increased focus on capacity expansion and distribution, Varun Beverages is positioning itself as a major growth driver for PepsiCo outside the United States.
