UP encounter: Two criminals dead

Around two notorious criminals have been shot dead in the New Mandi area of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh by the state police.

The criminals were carrying huge rewards on their heads. Both were facing severe cases including murder and loot.

At least two police officials have also been injured during the action. The authorities have seized a motorcycle, two pistols and cartridges from the criminals.

This kind of police action is not new to the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. In the recent past, several times, the police of the state have used this method against criminals.

The present Uttar Pradesh government, led by the BJP, is very serious about making the state a criminal free state.

For that reason, since the induction of the BJP-led government in the state, the state has intensified its effort to contain the criminal forces in the state.
