Transgender Riya creates history in university kalolsavam

Riya Isha created credibility in the university Kalolsavam by participating in the special transgender category. Riya a transgender a B.A. economic student of Malappuram Govt college, performed a folk dance and became the cynosure icon of the Calicut university Kalolsavam in C Zone.

Riya practised only four days and staged a spectacular folk dance. Riya acted out the facial expressions of kuravan and kurathi, the two characters enacted the dance, commented, judges.

Riya also created a difference by being the reason for the change. She contested in the girl’s category, later stood for the transgender category. Following that, the hosts of the event redid the software design for the registration of kalolsavam and introduced a special column of ‘others’ besides girls and boys.
