Switzerland is the best place in the earth to be born, says a study by The Economist Intelligence Unit, a group company of The Economist. India has done rather poorly in the study and stands at 66^th position, while neighbouring countries Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh occupies a position of 63, 75 and 77 respectively. Nigeria occupies the bottom of the list of 80 countries.

Developed European Nations hit by the economic crisis fell down in the ratings; Australia occupied a proud 2^nd place. USA and Germany were at the 16^th place.
