Taiwan, China supremo’s set to meet in Singapore – Unique Times

In an effort to generate new ties, Taiwan President Ma Ying-jeou and Chinese president will meet at Singapore, today.This is an historic meeting for both the country. In 66 years, the leaders had never met, even once. The consolidation of peace is the main agenda of the meeting, along with status quo maintenance.

To explain the details of meetings, an international media conference will be convened by Taiwanese supremo By stressing the term ‘dignified position’, the Taiwan authorities assert that they will not sign any agreement in the meeting. However, both the countries had underlined the need of cross-strait relation and peace.

Stressing the government’s long-term future, Taiwan president claims that he will up hold the welfare agendas and mutual trust.
