Seven Maoists killed in Chhattisgarh

As many as seven Maoists have been killed in a serious gunfight between Maoists and security forces in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh.

The incident has taken place when a team of security personals has reached the forest near Sitagota village, which comes under the control of the Baghnadi police station area of the state, to carry out an anti-Naxal operation.

When the security persons have reached the spot, they have been confronted with arms by Maoists.

The gunfight has occurred immediately after that. Fortunately, the security personas have suffered no injuries.

Nearly seven bodies of Maoists have been recovered from the spot. Apart from the bodies, several deadly weapons have also been seized from the spot.

The authorities have launched a serious search operation in the area. So far, no more Maoists have been found in the area.

The area in which the Maoists have been spotted is one of the highly volatile regions in this part of the world. It is not the first time that the presence of Maoists has been reported from the region.

As per a report, several times in the past, the presence of Maoists has been reported from the region.
