Senior NCP leader booked in Sadan Scam

A chargesheet had been filed against a senior NCP leader and former Public Works Minister Chhagan Bhujbal on last day in Maharashtra, stating his involvement in the Sadan Scam. The anti-corruption bureau which is probing the corruption case against the former ministry on last day submitted a detailed investigation report before a court in Maharashtra. The report indicates that other than former minister, several top officials in the department were silent partners of the corruption. A total of nearly seventeen culprits are framed in the chargesheet including the minister’s son and nephew. The twenty thousand pages long-dosser has managed to include at least sixty direct witness-statements. Reports say that the investigative agencies have managed to secure some concrete evidence like bank documents and fund transfer details. A top national media reported that the case is totally depending up on the document proofs and evidences. According to the investigation report released in Medias, the contractors earned nearly eight percentage profit from the Maharashtra Sadan construction project, which was supposed to give twenty percentage profits to the bidders. The report further alleges that a fake statement had been formulated to cheat the authorities. In the fraud statement, it is allegedly saying that the contractors only earned one percentage profit from the Sadan construction project. The new corruption allegations that are levelled against the ailing NCP will put them into further trouble. It is said that former Congress alley is currently not in good terms with the giant old national party.
