Satyendar Jain Sent Handwritten Resignation Letter To Arvind Kejriwal

On February 27, sources revealed, AAP leader Satyendar Jain submitted his letter of resignation from the Delhi Cabinet to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Mr. Jain expressed his gratitude for the chance that had been granted to him in the letter to Mr. Kejriwal.

“I hereby tender my resignation as a minister of the Government of NCTD of Delhi.

“I am highly thankful for giving this opportunity to serve people of Delhi (sic). My resignation may kindly be accepted,” he wrote.

Manish Sisodia and Mr. Jain, two of Mr. Kejriwal’s trusted aides who were both detained on suspicion of corruption, have both left the Cabinet. The two leaders were crucial in putting Mr. Kejriwal’s governance programme of high-quality healthcare and education facilities in the nation’s capital into action.

According to sources, Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has received both resignations and will decide whether to accept them on February 28.

Following Mr. Jain’s detention by the Enforcement Directorate in May of last year in connection with a money laundering case, the opposition BJP has been calling for his resignation. Despite having no responsibility, Jain kept serving as a minister in the administration.

Mr. Sisodia’s workload nearly doubled when Mr. Jain’s divisions were transferred to him. In August 2022, Mr. Sisodia also came under fire as his name surfaced in the excise policy fraud. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) detained him on Sunday in connection with allegations of corruption in the creation and execution of the now-cancelled 2021–22 liquor policy.
