Sai Pallavi, star of Virata Parvam, speaks out about the Kashmir Files and religious persecution: ‘The oppressed should be protected’

Sai Pallavi is promoting her new film Virata Parvam, which will be released in theatres on June 17th. She portrayed a woman who falls in love with Rana Daggubati’s character, a Naxal leader. Real-life events are said to have inspired the film.

Pallavi was asked in a media interview if she was inspired by the left-wing movement in her personal life. She reiterated that she does not take sides in any of the debates. She made no apologies for her opposition to the use of violence in the name of any faith.”I was raised in a non-judgmental family where I was encouraged to be a nice person.” I was taught that I should defend those who are in danger. Oppressed people must be safeguarded. Regardless of their status. I’m familiar with the terms “left wing” and “right wing.” “However, we can never be certain who is correct and who is incorrect,” Sai remarked.

“The Kashmiri Files demonstrated how Kashmiri Pandits were killed at the time,” she continued. If the matter is viewed as a religious conflict, a Muslim motorist transporting cows was recently attacked and forced to say “Jai Shri Ram.” So, what’s the difference between the two occurrences? We must be decent human beings. We will not harm others if we are nice people. To answer your question, if you are not a good human being, justice will not be served by either the right or the left. I’m a fairly neutral person. So, in my opinion, if you are stronger than me and oppress me, you are doing something bad. It is wrong for a large group of people to oppress a small group of people. She advised Greatandhra that a conflict must be conducted between two equals.”

Venu Udugula wrote and directed Virata Parvam. In addition to Priyamani, Nandita Das, Naveen Chandra, Zarina Wahab, Easwari Rao, and Sai Chand, the film features a supporting cast of Priyamani, Nandita Das, Naveen Chandra, Zarina Wahab, Easwari Rao, and Sai Chand.
