Russian fighter jet violated airspace warned by South Korea with warning shots
A Russian fighter jet, which has violated the airspace controlled by South Korea, has been warned with warning shots by the East Asian country.
The jet has violated the airspace over the Takeshima island, which is controlled by South Korea though it is in dispute with Japan over the territory.
Fortunately, the incident has not escalated in the form of a direct confrontation between South Korea and Russia.
It remains unclear why the fighter jet has intruded into the territory controlled by the South Korean government.
Russia and South Korea have no serious dispute with each other. These countries are at present in a very friendly relation.
It is first time that South Korea has made such a military move against Russia. It is not unusual that Russia accidentally enters the airspace of South Korea. It is unclear why South Korea has reacted this much loudly to the entry this time.
Russia has not yet responded anything about the provocative move made by South Korea against its fighter jet.
Fortunately, the Russian fighter jet has suffered no damage.
It remains unclear how Russia will react to the provocation made by South Korea, which is a close ally of the United States.
