Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will tie the knot on April 14 and have a lavish reception on April 17?

It goes without saying that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s wedding is the most anticipated event of the year. While the couple and their relatives remain tight-lipped about the wedding ceremony’s details, new information is dominating the news every day. People had been expecting the wedding to take place on April 16 until now. However, according to a new report, Alia and Ranbir will marry on April 14, followed by a lavish reception.

According to HT City, a small baraat procession will leave for the venue in the afternoon on April 14. The wedding will take place in the evening. The couple will host a mehendi ceremony on April 13 and a haldi ceremony on the first half of April 14, respectively, before the wedding. Only family members and close friends are expected to attend all of the events, according to reports. The guest list is said to include Karan Johar and Ayan Mukerji.

Previously, it was thought that Alia and Ranbir would marry in Kapoor’s ancestral home in Chembur, but it appears that plans have changed, as a new report claims that Alia and Ranbir will marry in the latter’s home Vastu in Bandra.

“It’ll be a very low-key and intimate affair.” Only 45-50 people have been invited to the wedding ceremony, including the couple’s family and close friends, including filmmakers Karan Johar and director Ayan Mukerji, according to a reliable source. According to the report, Alia Bhatt will choose to be a Sabyasachi bride, complete with a dupatta designed by her close friend Manish Malhotra. While HT City reported that Alia and Ranbir will host a party for their Bollywood friends on the 16th of this month, another report claims that Alia and Ranbir will host a grand reception on April 17 at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai.

“They have decided to host the reception at Taj Mahal Palace’mostly’ on April 17,” a source close to Ranbir told Pinkvilla. Alia and Ranbir want to resume their careers, but first they want to wrap up their wedding celebrations, so they’ve set this date.”
