Rajat Sood wins India’s Laughter Champion, takes home Rs 25 lakh
On Saturday, August 27, India’s Laughter Champion’s debut season came to an end. Rajat Sood is the show’s first season champion. The finals also featured Himanshu Bawandar from Ujjain, Nitesh Shetty, Vighnesh Pande, and Jayvijay Sachan from Mumbai, and the comedian from Delhi.
The trophy and Rs. 25 lakh in cash were awarded to Rajat Sood. Because of his distinctive stand-up comedy style, “Pomedy,” which combines comedy with poetry in a lovely mashup, he is also known as the Pomedy King.
Rajat is not only a comedian; he is also, among other things, a poet, author, and songwriter. In 2021, he made an appearance on Doordarshan’s Sau Karod Ka Kavi before winning India’s Laughter Champion. He was one amongst the finalists of the show.
For Rajat, it was a memorable occasion because it was the first time his parents had come to see him do comedy, and he was also the winner.
Along with Sunil Grover, who appeared in his well-known Rinku Bhabhi avatar, Liger actors Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday were seen as special guests on India’s Laughter Champion’s big finale.
