Rain batters Mumbai

The Indian city of Mumbai has woken up to a rainy day Today. The rainfall has badly affected the life of the people of the state. It has disrupted almost all transport facilities available in the city. The schools in the affected regions have been asked to remain closed.

As per the latest IMD prediction, the city is likely to experience moderate to heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours.

Mumbai, Thane, Raigad and Palgar are the most vulnerable. Alert has been sounded in all these regions.

The rescue group has been put on high alert. At least two team of the NDRF have already been deployed in the affected region.

Several flight services have been cancelled due to the special situation. The rail services have also been disrupted.

Apart from Mumbai, some other major South Indian cities like Trivandrum have experienced severe rainfall today.
