Prosus Tech Launches FoundHER Challenge to Support Women-Led Startups
Prosus Tech, in collaboration with global investment advisory firm VAIA Climate and entrepreneurship network Encubay, has launched the Tech FoundHER Challenge to bridge the equity gap for women entrepreneurs. This initiative aims to provide women-led startups in India with access to global networks, funding opportunities, and resources to scale their businesses.
By addressing the funding gap in India’s tech ecosystem, the challenge seeks to empower female founders with capital, mentorship, and valuable industry connections. Women-led tech startups can apply for the challenge until April 4, 2025. A jury will shortlist 30 founders based on innovation, scalability, and impact. The top six finalists will have the opportunity to pitch their businesses in a one-on-one session in Bengaluru on May 25, 2025. This event will offer a crucial platform for women entrepreneurs to showcase their ideas and gain industry recognition.
The three winners of the Tech FoundHER Challenge will receive equity-free funding of up to $50,000, along with mentorship and networking support. By fostering inclusivity and reducing the equity funding gap, this initiative reinforces Prosus Tech’s commitment to promoting women entrepreneurship in India’s thriving startup landscape.
