The Indian President, Ram Nath Kovind, who has expressed his displeasure over the unpleasant events happened during the National Film Award function, has conveyed his dissatisfaction to the Prime Minister’s Office.
In last Thursday, as many as fifty-five awardees boycotted the award function, citing that they were not informed prior to the rehearsal function that only selected awardees would be granted the privilege to accept awards from the President and the rest of the awardees would have to accept the awards from the Information and Broadcasting Minister, Smriti Irani.
Not more than eleven awards could be given during the award function due to the aforementioned reason, spoiling the entire beauty of the prestigious event, for which the whole national was waiting.
