Pregnant UP Woman Locks Stepdaughter In Box, Charged For Attempted Murder

According to police in Muzaffarnagar, UP, a mother has been charged for allegedly confining her nine-year-old stepdaughter in a box. According to them, Shilpi has been charged with murder attempt in accordance with Indian Penal Code section 307. The suspect is pregnant and has not yet been detained, according to the police.

On Monday night, Radhika was reported missing. Police discovered her unconscious and imprisoned inside a box when they arrived at her home, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ayush Vikram Singh.

According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, the girl later told the police that her stepmother had locked her inside the box.

After divorcing his first wife, Sonu Sharma, the father of the minor, married Shilpi. Radhika was residing with them, according to the police.
