Powerful earthquake jolts California

The United States state of California has experienced a severe earthquake Today. The 7.1 magnitude earthquake is the biggest earthquake to hit the region in nearly twenty years. California is prone to earthquake. For Californians, earthquake is not a new thing. But, the latest has brought shock in the minds of many Californians due to the magnitude of the quake.

A few days before, the same region experienced similar quake of lesser magnitude. That time itself, it was predicted that the region could expect a serious of earthquake of lesser magnitude or similar magnitude or high magnitude in the near future.

The earthquake that was experienced on Thursday was of the average magnitude of around 6.4.

Many residents in the region have expressed their disappointment in the continuation of the serious of earthquake.

The regional administration has sought the support of the federal authorities to tackle the situation.
