‘Ponniyin Selvan’: Trisha is the latest add on to the Mani Ratnam Movie

Mani Ratnam’s upcoming venture Ponniyin Selvan has a new add on to the star cast. Trisha has been roped in to play one of the lead roles in the movie. There was a buzz some time ago that she would be part of the magnum opus. Now, a source close to the unit reveals that Trisha is very much part of the film. One of the source said that “Yes, she has been signed on for Mani sir’s project. It will be her second outing with Mani sir after Ayitha Ezhuthu.”

While there is also a buzz that Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in the movie, but the source adds that this isn’t true. “Bachchan sir is not part of the project. The team is finalising the cast and crew and the official announcement will be made soon.” Mani Ratnam and the crew were recently spotted in Thailand for an exploration. The film will start the shoot  early next year.
