India Energy Week 2026 to Begin in Goa with Record Global Participation
India Energy Week (IEW) 2026 will be held from January 27–30 at the ONGC Academy for Training and Innovation in Goa, bringing together ministers, CEOs, policymakers and innovators from around the world. As the first major global energy event of the year, the forum will focus on energy security, investment opportunities and decarbonisation pathways, at a time of rapid change in global energy markets.
At the curtain-raiser event, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said India was emerging as a key player in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and biofuels, while stressing the need for a balanced approach to ethanol and SAF blending. IEW 2026 is expected to be the largest edition so far, with over 75,000 participants, more than 600 exhibitors and representatives from 180+ international companies, alongside 17 ministers and deputy ministers from countries including the UAE, Canada, Oman and the Netherlands.
The event will feature 11 expanded exhibition zones covering hydrogen, renewables, digitalisation, SAF and nuclear energy, along with a strong “Make in India” pavilion aimed at supporting MSMEs and startups. Strategic discussions will include ministerial sessions, leadership panels and Energy Talks, while several major MoUs and energy deals are expected to be announced. Innovation, startups and global biofuels collaboration will also be key highlights of IEW 2026.
