PM Modi Interacts With Relief Teams Involved In ‘Operation Dost’ In Turkey

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with Indian disaster relief and human aid teams operating in earthquake-stricken Turkiye and praised their efforts.

Prime Minister Modi claimed in a tweet that he had conversations with people working on “Operation Dost” in Turkey and Syria. He praised them for their great efforts in disaster response and relief initiatives.

In accordance with Prime Minister Modi’s order to provide that country with all necessary aid, a total of three NDRF teams were dispatched to the earthquake-affected nation on February 7.

“Final NDRF team under #OperationDost returns home from Türkiye. 3 Teams of 151 @NDRFHQ personnel & dog squads extended assistance to earthquake affected Türkiye,” Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said on Twitter.

“Teams executed search, rescue & relief operations including life detection in 35 work sites of Nurdağı & Antakya,” he said.

Following the disastrous earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria on February 6 and left over 30,000 dead, India initiated “Operation Dost” to provide aid to both nations.
